Timberline specializes in customized massages focused on keeping you moving and in less pain. We incorporate a variety of modalities, tailored to your specific needs. The ultimate goal at Timberline is to provide the specific type of massage you need so you can maintain the active lifestyle you love. Each massage session is unique and specific to you.
Each massage therapist at Timberline Massage Therapy has their own unique specialties, techniques and methods, including but not limited to: joint mobilization and active/passive stretching, pin & stretch, Trigger Point Therapy, compression, cupping, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization aka scraping or guasha). All techniques are included in the price of each massage; we do not charge "add-ons" but rather we utilize our skills and tools as appropriate for your specific needs, each and every time.

ADVANCED SPORTS MASSAGE

A focused session with a Cross Function Sports Massage Specialist. Your sports massage therapist has undergone advanced sports massage training and utilizes a variety of sports massage techniques to help improve performance and range of motion, decrease pain, and prevent or treat injury.

Helps you feel rejuvenated, ready to train or compete, more mobile, less restricted, and helps to prevent/manage repetitive use and sports injuries. ​

This massage session always includes an assessment at the beginning of each appointment to help identify restrictions, limitations in range of motion or causes of pain/injury.

This massage is active so please come prepared with athletic clothing.

Recommended anytime in your training as your massage therapist has training in sports and athletic training cycles and will adjust massage techniques depending on where you are.
FUNCTIONAL
CUSTOMIZED THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

A therapeutic session focused on helping you function better in your movements and with less pain throughout your day.

CUSTOMIZED THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

A 60 or 90 -minute massage session focused on relieving physical and mental stress by utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities such as Deep Tissue, Swedish, joint mobilization, acupressure, reflexology, visualization, and breathing exercises.​

Ideal for during times of increased tension due to stress, or anxiety.
POLICIES
SERVICES ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY: we do not offer same-day scheduling or walk-ins. Online booking is permitted up to 60 days in advance.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Notification of cancellation is required at least 24 hours in advance. This will allow us time to fill the appointment slot. Failure to cancel 24 hours in advance will result in a fee of the entire cost of the session if we are unable to fill the appointment.

Emily has been involved in athletics since she started skiing and playing various sports at a young age. Throughout high school, she was active and trained in soccer, track, cross country, basketball, skiing, snowboarding and olympic / power weightlifting. While in college, she was a competitive middle-distance runner (Steeplechase) for the University of Oregon. After earning her Bachelor's degree from UO, Emily went on to earn her Master's degree, teach at the University of Oregon, and coach track and cross country at Lane Community College in Eugene, OR.

Emily now provides customized sports massage treatments for her clients in Boise, Idaho. Her overall goal is to provide manual therapy that centers on functional movement and the body/mind connection, and she aims to help clients maintain an active and competitive lifestyle and to enjoy all that beautiful Boise Idaho has to offer.
​
By utilizing her background in athletics, coaching, and education, Emily teaches clients about the musculoskeletal system and self-care techniques, helping them add musculoskeletal treatment and health to their training regimen.
​
When she's not massaging, Emily enjoys exploring Idaho's landscapes with her partner and dogs, as well as mountain biking practicing yoga, snowboarding, riding her cyclocross bike, hiking, camping, fishing, and stand-up paddle boarding.

Katee grew up skiing and horseback riding here in Idaho. She has a background in equestrian sports, skiing, long-distance running, lacrosse and swimming.
Before the birth of her first child, Katee was massaging, teaching yoga and meditation, and leading wellness workshops focused on spiritual growth and stress management.
Katee provides customized massage therapy focused on longevity. She believes movement IS medicine for the human body/mind and that through bodywork she can help clients keep moving for as long as possible, as comfortably as possible.
Using her background in teaching Katee can provide extensive coaching on self-care practices that reduce stress, increase mental clarity, improve performance, and give clients a new sense of autonomy over their health and wellness.
Katee doesn’t get much “free” time these days with a 1 year old in tow BUT when she does she likes to practice yoga, cardio dance, and get outdoors as much as possible. She looks forward to the not too distant future when she can get back into the Sawtooth’s to backpack and start hauling baby on snow shoe adventures, etc.
