HOW WE WORK
Movement-focused sports massage, guided by clinical reasoning and long-term goals.
OUR APPROACH
At Timberline Sports Massage, we’re here to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay in the game. That might mean training for competition, getting outside more, or simply feeling better in your day-to-day life.

Our approach blends sports massage, movement science, and evidence-based care. We pay attention to how your body is moving, how it’s being loaded, and what it needs to recover and adapt.

Every session is shaped around you: your activity level, injury history, training, and goals. We meet you where you’re at and help you keep moving forward.

SPORTS MASSAGE,
WITH PURPOSE
At Timberline, every sports massage session is tailored to how your body is moving right now and where you’re headed long term.

We choose pressure and techniques intentionally, using hands-on and movement-based work to support training, recovery, and progress over time.
We Consider:

-
Movement demands and activity level
-
Training load and recovery phase

Injury history and current symptoms
-
Short- and long-term goals

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CLINICIAN
Who you work with matters

All Timberline clinicians are Licensed Massage Therapists

-
Everyone works from the same clinical foundation and standard of care

-
Our approach is rooted in sports massage principles, movement-informed practice, and evidence-based decision-making

Within that shared framework, each therapist brings their own clinical strengths and areas of focus—so your care stays aligned while still being personalized.

Working together, for you

-
Clinicians communicate and maintain clear, shared session notes

-
Your progress, responses, and goals stay connected across sessions

-
Whoever you see understands what you’ve been working on and what’s helped

This team-based approach supports consistent, thoughtful care while giving you more flexibility in scheduling.
HOW SESSIONS WORK
Most sessions follow a simple, flexible flow:
1. Check-in & movement-informed assessment
-
We start by talking through how you’re moving, training, or staying active, and what’s been getting in the way.

2. Hands-on sports massage
-
Treatment reflects your clinician’s specialty and style, with techniques and pacing adjusted based on what your body needs that day.
3. Support beyond the table
-
When it’s helpful, we’ll share simple, practical guidance to support recovery, manage pain, or keep you moving well between sessions.
-
Some sessions feel more restorative. Others are more focused. What stays the same is the goal: supporting how you move and helping you stay active over time.
